Patrick Magee Blue Plaque Unveiling

The Ulster History Circle will unveil a Blue Plaque in honour of the celebrated Armagh-born stage and screen actor, Patrick Magee (1922 – 1982) at the house of his birth, No 2 Edward Street, as part of the John Hewitt International Summer School, Saturday 29th July at 12pm.
Refreshments and tributes will follow at The Market Place Theatre & Arts Centre, Market Street, Armagh BT61 7BW.
Patrick Magee was a Tony Award winning Northern Irish actor best known for his collaborations with Samuel Beckett and his role as the victimised writer Mr. Alexander in Stanley Kubrick’s film A Clockwork Orange. Magee was one of the leading actors of his generation, working with many twentieth century greats in theatre and film.
