To mark the birth of celebrated Belfast poet John Hewitt, The John Hewitt Society presents an evening of poetry in the bar that carries his name. Featuring acclaimed poet, translator, and visual artist Eilish Martin, alongside Geoffrey Dearmer Prize winner Dean Browne, the event brings together two distinct yet resonant voices in contemporary Irish poetry. Martin’s lyrical sharpness meets Browne’s wit and clarity in a reading that honours Hewitt’s legacy while looking forward. Presented in association with Poetry Ireland.
